About the School

The Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science strives to develop and prepare all of our students to become compassionate, critical thinkers capable of successful pursuits after high school. We expect that all of our students will be prepared for college-level study and will be equipped with the skills to make solid career choices. We operate on the premise that as critical thinkers attempt to make sense of the world around them, they tend naturally to engage deeply with mathematics, and that applied mathematics can be a powerful unifying force in the school experience. As a result, the mathematical sciences are celebrated at this school.
