Welcome to Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and the Arts (RHS), a vibrant community dedicated to fostering "Voice. Choice. Identity." Serving grades 9-12, RHS embraces a student-centered culture prioritizing critical thinking, active participation, and personal growth. Our mission is to build meaningful learning partnerships, empowering all students through a rigorous academic experience with high standards and culturally relevant curriculum. We believe in productive struggle, providing emotional and instructional support to help you become independent thinkers. You'll engage in deeper learning, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating, not just remembering. As an arts school, you can choose from visual, vocal, theater, or instrumental disciplines, progressing from beginner to advanced levels. Your physical and emotional safety are paramount. We offer robust social-emotional and mental health supports, with dedicated counselors and social workers. Our Peer Group Connection program eases freshmen's transition by connecting them with caring upperclassmen. Our arts program is open to all students of any skill level who have an interest in exploring the arts further. Students are exposed to a variety of art forms through daily coursework and learning experiences outside the classroom and school. There are vast opportunities to showcase their work during school performances.
