About

Our mission is to develop a learning community that equips students to become culturally, technologically, and socially adept, while also promoting self-advocacy. We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment of rigorous learning that prepares students technically and academically for the digital communication media/multimedia arts career pathway and beyond. Students are supported as they move through our college and career preparatory sequence. Students are prepared for area-specific Adobe certifications and licenses that make them top candidates for employment upon graduation in emerging technological industries. Students will master Adobe products with digital imaging, digital illustration, and digital video production. We offer internships and apprenticeships through our local and national partnerships that provide students with the tools they need to succeed in today's world. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) program, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school. Students at HSET have the opportunity to attend field trips, school dances, sporting events, and monthly Broadway shows. Before, during, and afterschool programs are available to obtain the additional support needed to be successful. Join us and our clubs in gaming, VR/AR, anime, dancing, guitar, and so much more. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school. Students attending our school are eligible to apply to the Bronx STEAM Center. Students accepted to Bronx STEAM will spend a portion of their school day and at least two years engaging in high quality Career and Technical Education classes at the Bronx STEAM Center in one of six career pathways aligned to critical sectors such as healthcare and technology. With support across our school and the Bronx STEAM Center, students will earn early college credit, industry credentials, participate in paid work experiences and receive personalized advising to graduate onto higher education and/or employment in family sustaining careers.
