About the School
At BHSB our objective is to ensure that students are held to high expectations while also providing the flexibility and support needed so that students meet their academic and socio-emotional goals. We are a small learning community where our mission is to build a strong nurturing community through teamwork, communication, and support that will empower future leaders. We strive to instill our core values of Leadership, Integrity, and Tenacity into our students. Leadership - We are leaders and take charge of our learning by being well-informed about our progress, are aware of our socio-emotional needs, and self-advocate. We think positively and proactively and are solution-oriented. We listen and we learn from others. We are inclusive and embrace diversity to avoid limiting our potential for growth. Integrity - We demonstrate that we hold ourselves to high standards and principles. We are trustworthy and value honesty and openness. We respect ourselves and others at all times, no matter where we are or who is watching. We hold ourselves accountable and take responsibility for our actions, both good and bad. Tenacity - We are determined to face challenges and persevere. We strive against all odds to succeed and to reach new heights of excellence.
