Located in the heart of Flatbush, the Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration is a 6-12 Community School where high school students build strong academic foundations and launch exciting futures. Known as the crown jewel of Flatbush, we prepare students for success in college, career, and life. Students choose from career-connected learning pathways in Art, Civics, STEM, Business Entrepreneurship, the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness, and CDOS Credentialing. Arts Summary
At Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration our primary goal is to ignite the creative spark within each student. We provide a supportive environment where students are encouraged to think outside the box, take risks, and unleash their imagination. Through artistic expression, we empower students to embrace their individuality and develop creative problem-solving skills. We have partnered with Theatre for a New Audience and CUNY Creative Arts Team to ensure that our students are given a variety of artistic outlets. Students participate in, fully realized theatrical productions, dance, fashion, visual arts, digital art, murals, and many other projects. Collaboration is a cornerstone of our arts program. We believe that working together in artistic endeavors fosters teamwork, communication, and empathy. Students have numerous opportunities to collaborate on group projects, ensemble performances, and interdisciplinary initiatives, learning from one another and celebrating the collective creativity that emerges. This year, students worked on a new play with a critically acclaimed and award winning playwright embodied our school academic values and was a reflection of our students personal and creative interests. We believe the world's great stories bridge cultures and help young people become aware of their creative selves, and the contributions of others and their connections to a global community.

This is a specialized curriculum designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills related to the business world. It offers courses in finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and leadership, preparing students for future entrepreneurial endeavors and careers in the business field. Students have the opportunity to earn up to 18 college credits in this program.
