Since its founding in 2001, Bard High School Early College has offered New York City public school students an unparalleled educational opportunity. Through a partnership between Bard College and the New York City Department of Education, we make it possible for students to earn both a high school Regents diploma and an Associate's Degree in four years,all at no cost to students or families. Bard High School Early College Brooklyn (BHSEC Brooklyn) builds proudly on this legacy, opening its doors to a founding cohort of early college students in September of 2024. This innovative public high school offers young people in Brooklyn a set of extraordinary opportunities, including: 1. Enabling students to graduate from high school with 60 transferable, Bard College credits and a Bard College AA degree, entirely free of cost to students and their families. 2. A core curriculum in the liberal arts. 3. Extensive guidance in postsecondary options and credit transfer. 4. Internships and applied learning opportunities. 5. Robust student support structures that attend to students' academic, social, and developmental needs.
