Bronx Health Sciences High School (BHS) is a safe, friendly, multicultural learning environment whose doors are open to any high school student interested in future Health and Science careers. BHS provides students with learning opportunities through creative, rigorous, engaging and supportive instruction. Bronx Health Sciences High School has officially be named a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Students attending our school are eligible to apply to the Bronx STEAM Center. Students accepted to Bronx STEAM will spend a portion of their school day and at least two years engaging in high quality Career and Technical Education classes at the Bronx STEAM Center in one of six career pathways aligned to critical sectors such as healthcare and technology. With support across our school and the Bronx STEAM Center, students will earn early college credit, industry credentials, participate in paid work experiences and receive personalized advising to graduate onto higher education and/or employment in family sustaining careers. Our students benefit from many opportunities, including the chance to take multiple AP courses, complete college coursework through our partnership with College Now, Mercy University Early College Nursing Program, National Education Equity Lab with Historically Black College Universities, as well as the opportunity to take several science based electives over the course of their four-years such as anatomy and physiology, prosthetics, design and evolution of medicine, medical terminology, scientific inquiry, bioengineering, hydroponics, wellness and holistic health, medical law and ethics, and many more!
