About the School
IEC is a career and technical education, early college school partnered with NY Presbyterian Hospital, Microsoft, and Bronx Community College. Through mastery based learning, students earn a regents diploma with technical certifications, a FREE Associate's degree, and work-based experience preparing them for technology or health related careers. Our students are future computer network administrators, cyber security specialists, gamers, device designers, medical professionals, attorneys, artists, and entrepreneurs. Students have up to six years to earn the associate's degree in technology or biological sciences before deciding to move directly into the job market or continue their education through the Bachelor's Degree level and beyond. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.
