At the High School for Excellence and Innovation, we empower our students by providing an abundance of opportunities for them to exercise student voice and choice during their high school experience. By building students' capacity to fully participate as community members of their school, we help them become agents of change who positively affect their homes, communities, and the world. Our belief is that regardless of previous challenges, every student can earn a high school diploma and be prepared for college and/or transition to post-secondary opportunities to embark on their 21st century career paths. Our school presents an opportunity for 15- and 16-year old New York City residents entering the 9th grade for the first time. We believe that although these students have been held back two years during elementary and/or middle school, our trimester system and small class sizes will allow the pace and attention for these students to achieve in high school and be prepared for college and 21st century career paths!

Requirement:
Transfer high schools are designed to serve students who, based on their grade or age, are off-track to accumulate enough academic credits to meet high school graduation requirements. Only applicants ranked by the school will receive an offer.
