As a STEAM School, our students engage in rigorous mathematics, science or engineering courses with the arts and technology embedded within the curriculum. We believe students learn best by approaching academic and social challenges as learning opportunities. MAST HS is a place where students explore and seek solutions for challenges they face in our technologically-advanced world. Our students have the opportunity to affirm themselves, discover their passions, and apply what they know through hands-on project-based learning which require critical thinking, collaboration and communication. Whenever possible, students attend Broadway shows and outside cultural events as well as in-house performances to celebrate African American Heritage Month, Women's History and the Multicultural Diversity of our school. Mathematics, Science Research and Technology High School's goals are to continue to integrate the arts into all content areas and create partnerships with various arts organizations to enrich the culture of our students so that students are able to express themselves through the arts and build their skills and knowledge in a variety of forms, therefore enriching our learning community.
