Queens Metropolitan High School is a college preparatory school with a mission to have all its students attend and graduate from a college of their choice. In order to prepare for college, students are required to elevate their thinking in all content areas. They are frequently asked to write, defend their answers, and apply what they are learning to new situations. In addition to coursework, students take college trips and research college options to determine the college of their dreams. QMHS is an academically challenging high school with a culturally diverse student body comprising of approximately 1,050 students who are academically motivated and prepared for success. Our program focuses on Mathematics, Science, English literature, and the necessary prerequisites required by institutions of higher learning. Our students understand the value of leadership, discipline, and working hard which are requirements for success in college, careers and business. Queens Metropolitan High School takes pride in forming strategic partnerships with parents and community partners to help produce well-rounded graduates with a thirst for success.
