Business Technology Early College High School (BTECH) is a culturally diverse, small-knit, culturally responsive, and unique 9-14 Early College High School. BTECH prepares students for college and career by providing a rigorous and supportive academic programs to build a strong academic portfolio through dual-enrolled and dual-credited college courses at QCC, Advanced Placement (AP), and CTE classes. We believe in providing college and career readiness opportunities through College and Career Awareness events and activities, as well as providing opportunities to complete SAT Prep. Additionally, eligible students have the opportunity to earn 30+ college credits by 12th grade in one of two majors: Business Administration (B.A.) A.S. or Internet Information Technology (I.I.T.). A.A.S. with the option upon graduation and to stay and complete their Associate Degree at QCC. Students who earn their Associate Degree in the Business Academy may be eligible for direct admission to Baruch's Zicklin School of Business. IIT students have the option to apply for internships with AMEX and Citibank and transfer to City Tech from QCC. Our program emphasizes the use of technology in the business world through our Career Technical Education (New York State approved CTE) Pathway or through our college partner, Queensborough Community College Pathway (QCC) where students learn programming, networking, web design, digital citizenship, and more along with a robust Work Based Learning Program, including Co-Op, SYEP, building employability skills and internships.

Students have the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma in four years with earned college credit. BTECH is a 9-14 school model, offering students an opportunity to earn free college credit through Queensborough Community College towards an applied Associate degree. Students qualify to attend QCC through coursework and college readiness prerequisites. Additionally, students are offered early career opportunities through various internships.
