About

Welcome to Bronxwood Preparatory Academy! A small school with BIG opportunities. BPA offers courses that cover 6 Career Pathway Majors: Legal Studies, STEM, Performing Arts, Digital Arts & Graphic Design, Education, Blue Collar Trade (i.e. OSHA 30, Carpentry & more.) We also offer college courses in partnership with Syracuse University, Lehman College, Monroe, and Farmingdale. Advanced Placement courses are also available: AP Art, AP Spanish Language, AP English Language & Literature and additional electives that will lead to various career opportunities. BPA's number one goal is to prepare students for the workforce post high school. Students will have the opportunity to graduate from BPA certified as a NYC Department of Education Paraprofessional (Educational Pathway.) Students can become ADOBE certified after completing 3 years of coursework under the Digital Arts Pathway; which will lead to a financially rewarding career- right after graduating from HS! Students that major in the Performing Arts Pathway will receive exclusive training in digital music production, podcasting, how to DJ, and cinematography. Students that major in the Dance Performance Pathway will be exposed to a plethora of dance techniques- from tap, modern, hip hop, salsa, dance choreography and more. The STEM Pathway will expose students to the field of engineering where engagement is paramount with the support of 3D printers, robotics and coding. BPA's Legal Studies Pathway will afford students the opportunity to participate with our very own youth court, collaborate with the Bronx District Attorney's office and obtain New York Security Licence Certification.
