About

Bronx Leadership Academy High School’s core purpose is for families, faculty and scholars to be empowered to learn, lead and positively contribute to our school community and society. At BLA, we live and breathe by our Wolfpack Creed: "A family of Wolves together a pack. Each one of them knows to watch the other one's back. When one of them triumphs, it's shared by all. When one of them fails, they all take the fall. If the enemy strikes one, they are all by his/her side. They know that holding together is the key to their pride. Should one of them be hurt the rest take up the slack. For the strength of the pack is each wolf and the strength of each Wolf is the pack."

Law & Government

This program seeks to develop the critical-thinking skills of our students and expose them to issues involving ethics, justice and morality. We partner with the Justice Resource Center and law firms around the city to expand opportunities for our students to gain exposure to the legal profession (e.g., Moot Court competitions, Mock Trial competitions, law firm and court visits), and for scholarship opportunities.

Method:
Requirement:
Ed. Opt. programs admit students across all academic levels. Students are grouped into Low, Middle, and High categories based on a composite of their academic data. One-third of offers are made to students in each category.

  • (Group 1) Bronx students or residents
  • (Group 2) New York City residents
