About

At Herbert H. Lehman High School, we provide a pathway to success for all students. We challenge, inspire, and nurture every student to prepare them for a successful future. From day one, we provide comprehensive college and career support, beginning in 9th grade with PSAT/SAT preparation, college visits, and scholarship opportunities to set students on the path to higher education. Students can push their academic limits with honors courses, Advanced Placement (AP), and dual enrollment programs, earning free college credits in over 15 courses through SUNY, CUNY, and top national and international universities. With diverse course offerings, students explore their interests in STEM, computer science (Python and cybersecurity), arts, traditional and digital, and a variety of electives in all subjects. Beyond academics, Lehman provides extensive extracurricular opportunities, including clubs, sports, internships, Regents prep, after-school tutoring, and enriching trips to Broadway, museums, and cultural centers. Students can also apply to the Bronx STEAM Center, offering high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) in six pathways aligned with healthcare and technology, with opportunities to earn valuable trade certifications. At Lehman, Youth-Adult Partnership begins with Peer Group Connection (PGC) in freshman year, fostering collaboration between students and mentors. This program empowers students to lead, make decisions, and build lasting community connections throughout high school. Herbert H. Lehman High School is more than an education- it's a launchpad for a bright future.
