At the High School for Climate Justice, we provide a rigorous & culturally responsive academic curriculum in a supportive environment that elevates student voice and facilitates opportunities for students to grow and become agents of change in their communities. Students at the High School for Climate Justice engage in rigorous coursework and curriculum that are grounded in Culturally-Responsive practices. Classes seek to build community by embracing individual identity through carefully crafted learning experiences, thoughtful text-selection, and meaningful reflection. Teachers work collaboratively to plan interdisciplinary units that highlight our Climate Justice grade themes and reveal the interconnectedness of the various academic disciplines. With a focus on Criticality, students become the agents of change in their own education, our school, and their communities.
