The Bronx Latin School is a college preparatory school for students in grades 6-12. We offer a rigorous program of arts and sciences and encourage serious scholarship, independent thought, and clarity of expression. We work to inspire students to achieve their personal best through collaboration, inclusion, and goal-setting in a supportive environment of high expectations. We believe every child has the right to an exemplary education. We strive to empower our students to thrive in and graduate from college and positively impact their communities.

Humanities & Interdisciplinary

We are a college preparatory high school that believes a student's best preparation for college is a rigorous high school curriculum with four years of rich math and science instruction. Students are programmed with the expectation of obtaining an Advanced Regents diploma, and are encouraged to take AP courses. All students prepare for SATs through a rigorous self-study program with the goal of 100% of the student body attending four-year colleges after graduation.

Requirement:
Ed. Opt. programs admit students across all academic levels. Students are grouped into Low, Middle, and High categories based on a composite of their academic data. One-third of offers are made to students in each category.
Priority:
  • (Group 1) Priority to continuing 8th graders
  • (Group 2) Then to New York City residents
