Health Professions
This program offers two State-approved CTE health career programs. The Practical Nursing program includes 798 clinical hours in addition to the curriculum. These students are then eligible to take the NCLEX State Board examination for Licensed Practical Nurse. The Nursing Assistant program includes 108 clinical hours along with a curriculum that allows students to take the NYS certification exam to be certified as a Nursing Assistant.

About the School
Curtis High School is a Community School whose mission statement declares: "Curtis will be a nurturing community where all of its members will have the desire and opportunity to achieve their fullest potential." Curtis continually seeks to provide academic, extracurricular, social-emotional, and health and wellness services that are comprehensive, coordinated, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. Curtis consists of small learning communities (houses) giving students and faculty the opportunity to teach and learn with a more personalized approach. All students, supported by our faculty and a wealth of community partnerships and resources, pursue curricula that challenge and prepare them for a world beyond Curtis.
