Health Professions
This is a rigorous Future Ready program that prepares students for high-demand healthcare careers. As members of the Institute of Health Sciences, students develop academic and practical skills that will enable them to be successful lifelong learners in a diverse society. By focusing on literacy skill-building, earning early college credits, and work-based learning, we work to ensure students develop professional skills. Our graduates pursue positions such as physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and social workers, among many others after gaining experience through our personalized advising, paid and unpaid internships, and peer-mentoring and tutoring. Our internships allow students to build on their knowledge base of elective classes consisting of Anatomy and Physiology, Personal and Community Health, First-Aid, and Psychology.
