As a FutureReadyNYC and CareerWise Modern Youth Apprentice school, with a focus on Business and Finance, we are committed to ensuring that all of our students get the experience, knowledge and support they need to transition to college and career pathways ahead of graduating from high school. All ITAVA students receive Career-Connected instruction and Work-Based Learning, earn Early College Credits & Credentials, as well as receive Individualized Advising and participate in Financial Literacy classes. Our school is a FutureReadyNYC school offering the best of college and career exploration and preparation in Business - one of the fastest growing and highest paid industries in our city. We’ll prepare you for work in any field, not just business. Students will explore a range of careers, acquire 21st century employability skills including financial literacy, earn paid work- based learning opportunities and early college credits and credentials, engage in 1-1 advising and will graduate prepared for college and/or careers in NYCs growing business industry. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.
