Performing Arts/Visual Art & Design

Students train in Dance, Vocal, Instrumental Music, Visual Art, CTE Drama and the only school in the Bronx offering a CTE program in Technical Theater, to gain pre-professional and hands-on experience in a 4-year sequence leading students to earn a Chancellor's Arts Endorsed Diploma. Multiple performance and exhibition opportunities provide a platform for our scholars to introduce themselves to the professional arts world. All arts studios are equipped with modern-day technology and resources.

About the School

Fordham High School for the Arts is a college preparatory and arts-focused high school with a 4-year sequence in 6 majors: Dance, CTE Drama, Instrumental/Music Production, Musical Theater, Technical Theater, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music. FHSA offers a comprehensive arts and academic curriculum which culminates in an Advanced Regents diploma, college acceptance, and career readiness. Scholars will have access to Advanced Placement courses and dual-enrollment courses throughout their academic careers. Numerous partnerships include Roundabout Theatre Company, Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Theatre, and Studio in a School. Guest artist visits afford students the opportunity to explore and develop their talents in various mediums of artistic expression. Work-Based Learning Internships allow students an opportunity to explore career paths in the arts and beyond. Our school is also a FutureReadyNYC school offering the best of college and career exploration and preparation in Technology: Software Development - one of the fastest growing and highest paid industries in our city.
