Fordham High School for the Arts (FHSA) is 2024 National Blue Ribbon School in the category: Exemplary High Performing School. FHSA is a college preparatory and arts-focused high school with a 4-year sequence in 6 majors: Dance, CTE Drama, Instrumental/Music Production, Musical Theater, Technical Theater, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music. FHSA offers a comprehensive arts and academic curriculum which culminates in an Advanced Regents diploma, college acceptance, and career readiness. Scholars will have access to Advanced Placement courses and dual-enrollment courses throughout their academic careers. Numerous partnerships include Roundabout Theatre Company, Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Theatre, and Studio in a School. Guest artist visits afford students the opportunity to explore and develop their talents in various mediums of artistic expression. Work-Based Learning Internships allow students an opportunity to explore career paths in the arts and beyond. Our school is also a FutureReadyNYC school offering the best of college and career exploration and preparation in the Education Pathway and in the Technology: Software Development - one of the fastest growing and highest paid industries in our city. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students.
