Scholars' Academy is ranked one of the Best NYC High Schools by US News and World Report. Scholars' Academy is an academically accelerated high school that prepares students for college and careers of the 21st century. Composed of multi-talented students, our diverse student body is challenged by an ambitious curriculum in English, math, science, social studies, Spanish language, technology, and the arts. Teachers work closely with students on an individual basis within a school-wide cooperative group structure to ensure their success academically, behaviorally, and socially. Students have the opportunity to engage in school events and assemblies focused on fostering positive peer bonds, increasing cultural understanding, enhancing social-emotional well being and dedicated time for reflection and enrichment. The Scholars' Academy is committed to provide our young creatives the knowledge and experience of a multifaceted education in the arts. We are excited to add an artist in residency for dance to celebrate our cultural diversity. The vocal and instrumental departments continue to delight our staff, students and community with performances both in and outside of our school. It was standing room only at opening night for both Middle and High School theater productions. Our visual artists persist to awe and earn recognition by several NYC art organizations. And the newly revamped media department who stream, broadcast and capture all things art, round out the art programs at The Scholars' Academy.
