About
At the East New York Arts and Civics High School, we are a small school that delivers big results. With fewer than 200 students, we cultivate a warm, family-focused environment where every student is known, supported, and empowered to succeed. Our mission is grounded in three core pillars: College and Career Readiness, Civic Engagement, and Fine Arts, with a strong emphasis on Music as a vital part of our creative and academic identity. We offer a rich array of opportunities designed to prepare students for life beyond high school, including: Advanced Placement (AP) college-level courses that challenge students academically and prepare them for higher education. Dual Enrollment programs allow students to earn college credits while still in high school. Financial Literacy Education to build essential life and money management skills. Internships with community-based organizations, such as the Italian American Civil Rights League, providing real-world experience and professional development. Career exploration through Defined Learning, helping students connect classroom knowledge with real-world careers. Mentorship programs that offer guidance and personal growth. College tours and career readiness workshops to support post-secondary planning. Eligibility for the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness, recognizing dedication to civic responsibility and leadership. At East New York Arts and Civics High School, we believe in the power of a small, supportive community to create transformative outcomes. Our students graduate not only with academic knowledge, but with the confidence, creativity, and civic awareness to thrive in college, careers, and their communities.
