About

T&P is committed to educating all students through our Teaching and Leadership Pathways by empowering student voice and placing students at the center of their learning. Our community school model provides students and families with a hub for academic and emotional support. In a typical T&P classroom, students engage in deeper learning through writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and critical reading. Project Based Learning is also integrated across all content areas to foster relevant experiences that connect academic concepts to their local communities. We offer both Nest School and Bilingual Education Program. Nest supports autistic learners in inclusive ICT classrooms using NYU's Social Development Intervention curriculum. The Bilingual program serves multilingual learners with IEPs, using students' native language to support English language development and successful integration into general education classes. Our Peer Group Connection program trains 11th & 12th grade students to mentor 9th-graders, fostering community. We offer students access to career-connected learning opportunities such as the Career Explorations Elective, Career Discovery Week, WorkPlace Learning Challenge and robust internships. This gives students hands-on experience through mentorships, clubs, and real-world projects focused on leadership and education. Through our partnerships with Lehman College, Hunter College, and Bronx Community College our students gain college credits that give them a head start on their college journey while still in high school. At T&P, students are prepared to become the next generation of educators, leaders, advocators, and innovators.
