About

The Bronx Center for Science & Mathematics (BCSM) is a public 9-12 school, committed to providing a superior educational experience to public school children integrating technology across the curriculum. We provide a range of services to meet students' emotional, intellectual, and social needs and support structures linking faculty, students, and parents. The foundation of our school rests on Seven Core Virtues: Respect, Integrity, Honor, Excellence, Commitment, Perseverance, and Service. We also provide various academic and enrichment programs, including science research, robotics, mentoring, internships and experiential learning trips through different abroad programs. We are part of the Career Readiness, SYEP and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) programs, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in science, technology, the arts, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school. BCSM is also committed to equity and access for our students and their families. Our school community actively fosters restorative and inclusive spaces that center relationships, ensures all voices are heard, and views discipline as an opportunity for learning. We are part of the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) pilot, which helps us support career readiness for all our students. We have courses that help our ninth and tenth graders explore their career interests and develop readiness skills. Our students can apply for apprenticeships in tech, finance, and business, which allows them to earn and learn while in high school.
