About / Events
Bronx Legacy is an anti-racist and anti-bullying community that honors individual and cultural identity with a foundation rooted in Problem Solving, Community Learning, and Action. BXL students disrupt social, economic, and environmental injustices to harness the innate resilience and talent of the people of the Bronx. At BXL, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Our students engage in a diverse, college-and career-ready curriculum that includes: 1. Onsite and Offsite College Courses through partnerships such as National Ed Equity, SUNY Albany, and Hostos Community College. Students can also earn college credit through Advanced Placement Courses such as AP African American Studies and AP Government. 2. We are a Future Ready NYC (FRNYC) school with a career pathway in Business Marketing. FRNYC students take courses such as Intro to Business, Financial Literacy, and Social Media and Analytics. They also have the opportunity to engage in Career Discovery Week, internships, and Industry Visits throughout the year. 3. Electives rooted in our vision, such as Psychology, Financial Literacy, Chemistry in the Community, Anatomy, History of Women, The Latino Experience, Graphic Arts, Senior Research Capstone, Dominican Studies, AP African American Studies, Sociology, Public Health, among others. Lastly, Bronx Legacy's Graduate Profile shapes the foundation of our school culture and expectations. Our students are 1. Self-directed 2. Critically Conscious 3.
