Art
The Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy Arts Department has worked to provide an in-depth experience in our middle school arts curriculum. As students move from sixth grade to seventh, we encourage them to commit to a two-year sequence in either visual arts, band, or chorus during grades seven and eight. As sixth graders, they experience a range of arts classes. We are blessed with truly gifted arts teachers who provide rich classroom instruction. Students have authentic performance experiences at our Winter Arts Festival and our Spring Arts Festival. In high school, there are opportunities for advanced instruction in our AP Ceramics class, in addition to high school core arts classes. We also offer a guitar class, Painting through History, and ceramics electives. We are proud of the array of arts experiences available to our students in grades six through twelve.
