Computer Science & Technology, Engineering
As a FutureReady program, Computer Science and Robotics STEM Engineering is centered on students learning basic robot building instructions, programming and movement then move on to working with sensors and more complex robot behaviors. Students begin by learning computer languages(Python, Java) via AP Computer science courses, to building robots and operating drones. Program leads to FAA drone pilot certification and OSHA safety certifications. Projects cover key STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts.

About the School
As a FutureReady NYC school, our mission is to prepare students to become college and career ready. Our strong academic focus is coupled with an equally strong sequence in Visual Arts (2d and 3d drawing, digital arts, photography), Computer Science and Robotics Engineering (Oracle Java certification), and our state-of-the-art Medical Careers program (Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy certification). Students can also become New York State Licensed in Cosmetology/Natural Hairstyling with Business management(Virtual Enterprise certification) and receiving career skills upon graduation, giving them a viable source to pay for college. Our college-going culture is fostered by a continuing partnership with Cornell University, Princeton, Arizona State, Farmingdale State, Queens College, Vaughn College, York College, and multiple Advanced Placement courses. Students can graduate in less than four years and earn 30+ college credits towards an Associates Degree.
