Culinary Arts

Students enter a 4 year culinary program that encompasses various culinary career pathways to baking, food safety, prep, and management. By year 3 students are participating in full hands on cooking experience. Students will graduate OSHA certified and will compete in cooking competitions.

Academic Highlights: Advisories include - ADVISORY (Required 9-12) – All students take advisory during all four years of their high school experience. Advisories provide a strong home-school connection and much needed social emotional support. Weekly Advisory Courses include Welcoming Advisory, Balloon, LGTBQ, Spirit, Hair fairies, Life skills, Girls Inc, My Brothers Keeper (MBK), dance, theater, social media, and more, FDA VI - We offer AP courses, College Now, Dual College enrollment program, internships, Work/Learn/Grow, FDA VI ELECTIVES/COLLEGE PREP – Elective course include classes such as Business technology, Accounting, financial literacy Digital Photo, Game Design, Coding, Art, and Dance. College Prep classes include AP Classes, CUNY College Now courses, and University in the High School at SUNY Farmingdale
