Program Details
Performing Arts
Students study fundamentals as well as perform in concert choir. Advanced level choirs include: Stage Choir, Girls Chamber Choir, Mixed Choir, as well as other ensembles. All choirs incorporate music theory, music history, and sight singing. Preparation for state competitions as well as auditions. Evaluations in solo and ensemble work.

About the School
The Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music is a small school for students who are passionate about continuing their music studies while pursuing a challenging academic course of study. In addition to music instruction, students are expected to complete course requirements that lead to an Advanced Regents Diploma, college acceptance, and career readiness. The school curriculum requires a commitment of four years of music instruction and includes AP courses along with College Now courses through Lehman and Monroe College. In addition, our school has partnerships with Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, American Museum of Natural History, CUNY Lehman College, Jazzmobile, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Tony Bennett's Exploring the Arts Foundation.
