Academic Highlights: FDRs Focus on Science, Technology, and Mathematics: FDR High School is committed to providing a robust education in Science, Technology, and Mathematics, with a strong emphasis on practical applications and real-world skills. Our Computer Science and Data Analytics program equips students with cutting-edge skills in programming, data analysis, and computational thinking, preparing them for careers in tech-driven fields. The Medical Science and Careers program offers comprehensive training for future healthcare professionals, blending rigorous academic coursework with hands-on experience. Our Environmental Science program features an innovative hydroponics and aquaponics lab, allowing students to explore sustainable agricultural practices and environmental stewardship. Through the CUNY College Now Program, students can earn up to 17 college credits for free, giving them a head start on their higher education journey. Our comprehensive college office, staffed with dedicated college counselors, supports students from 9th to 12th grade. We also have partnerships with SEO Scholars, Yleana Leadership Academy, and CPC offering further opportunities for academic enrichment, leadership development, and career exploration, FDRs Focus on the Arts: We place a strong emphasis on Fine Arts, offering students diverse opportunities to explore their creative talents. Our comprehensive curriculum includes courses in painting, ceramics, drawing, photography, video editing, and Adobe Photoshop, enabling students to develop their skills in both traditional and digital media. Our theater program allows aspiring actors to hone their craft through intensive training and performance opportunities.
