Program Details
Bard High School Early College Brooklyn is a partnership between Bard College and New York City Public Schools. This innovative public high school will offer young people in Brooklyn a set of extraordinary opportunities, including: 1. Enabling students to graduate from high school with 60 transferable, Bard College credits and a Bard College AA degree, entirely free of cost to students and their families. 2. A core curriculum in the liberal arts. 3. Extensive guidance in postsecondary options and credit transfer. 4. Internships and applied learning opportunities. 5. Robust student support structures that attend to students' academic, social, and developmental needs. This program gives a priority to students or residents of District 19 and 23 for up to 40% of seats, students or residents of District 16, 17, 18, and 32 for up to 40% of seats, and students or residents of District 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22 for up to 10% of seats.
